Major: Mechanical Engineering (This Major's Salary over time)
I just graduated from RIT this summer with a BS in Mechanical Engineering Technology and received a job offer during my last co-op, which should be a good sign for everyone reading. Coursework was appropriate and professors were often eager to help myself and others learn, but were sometimes arrogant. There is a great mix of students. There's a lot of normal people but there are also a good deal of either nerdy and awkward or just strange people. I saw a lot of comments about social life and I guess it has to do with your preferences. I DID NOT involve myself with any campus related events or "parties." However, I met a lot of cool people and hung out with them often, as well as attending parties often. Parties I attended were usually not broken up until after 1am, and when I turned 21 I started going to the nearby bars or downtown. In terms of women on campus, it was a steep ratio when I started, but from what I hear and have seen it's almost even now. The artsy colleges have grown and brought in a lot of new, although many of them strange, girls. The hockey team is often good and school spirit rallies around it. To be honest the only reason I looked at this site is because I was looking to see if anyone else had heard about the rumor that campus safety was gluing people's bike chains together.
