What did you study? you sound alot like me, I don't know if a stifling campus would be right for me, I'm trying to decide between syracuse and nyu |
I think everyone makes sure that you know what you want to do and where you want to study. Atlantis Park Orange County Choose a school and classes by who you want to study not just the rankings of an institution. |

I absolutely loved NYU…but it's not for everyone. You must LOVE living in NYC to be happy here. You can't think of going here as a typical college experience, you have to be open to the entire city as your college and having your social life not only revolve around college events and students. I ended up minoring in Art History because the classes included trips to the museums and were just so inspiring. I transferred here from a campus school. I found the campus experience to be stifling. I hated the fraternity and sorority mentality and big sports arenas filled with screaming drunk students. I hated how the players were treated like stars. I hated being in the middle of nowhere and having the campus as my only world.NYU was a dream come true for me. It was like being let out of jail. I love NYC. Exploring all the city had to offer was so exciting and envigorating. I feel like I came alive once I started at NYU. I met so many interesting people, both students and non-students.You have to know yourself and know what type of environment is the right fit for you.
