NYU is not for the person looking for a typical college campus experience. It is going to college in NYC and living in Greenwich Village. It can be an amazing experience if city living is what you're looking for. If you want football games, greek life and school spirit - this is not the place for you.I loved NYU - I transferred here after going to a rural campus university. It was heaven for me…I just loved living in downtown Manhattan. Loved having the whole city to explore…the culture, theater, indie movies, off-beat bars and clubs, restaurants, everything going on all day and night. What was really nice was being able to stay in the city after graduation and get a job without having to move home or regroup after college. The downside of NYU is that they really don't help you, you have to help yourself. Be active in getting what you want and pursuing professors or TA's for extra help if you need it. I kinda got screwed out of graduating on time cause I wasn't as on top of things as I should have been. But I really wasn't in a rush anyway. ;)
