BU is your typical private, New England university. The students are generally very open-minded and liberal, but since it's a large university, even if you're a Bible-thumping conservative, you're going to find your niche. All of the professors I've had have been great and very accessible, but again, since it's a big place, this isn't always the case. Boston itself is amazing. After being there for two years, I can honestly say it's the only place in the world I'd want to go to school. Be sure if you go, though, to get off of the Comm. Ave. campus as often as you can! The city is full of cool neighborhoods that, unfortunately, many of my classmates don't even know how to get to.
