NYU is a great school. I am in the McGhee division (adult re-entry program) and have found my advisor to be excellent and my professors to be friendly, encouraging, and intellegent. If you're serious about your education and have the maturity and drive to succed, then NYU is for you. My classes are small and find that the people are friendly and open. It's true that there is some red tape but you have to know what you want and make your advisor give you the information you need. Ask questions and let them know what your plans are for the future so that they can help you acheive your goals. The work load is tough and challenging especially if you have to work a job, but it is managable if you know how to organize your time. I was able to acheive a 4.0 through hard work and time management since most of my classes. I find that there are always workshops and lectures to help get you into grad school or find jobs in your field, clubs and activities to meet people, and the best place to expose yourself to cultural diversity in the world. If you are looking to be the best in your field, NYU gives you that opportunity. It's up to you if you want to succed.
