I received my Master of Public Administration degreePublic Policy
I received my Master of Public Administration degree from Cornell's Institute for Public Affairs. I found Cornell University to be beautifully located (especially in the early fall and late spring), overlooking Lake Cayuga. Cornell has many resources available to graduate students and the campus is pretty. Ithaca is a small town with a "crunchy" feel(but also has its share of poverty). Sometimes, I felt that Cornell nickle-and-dimed a bit more than necessary, and the career development aspect of my program was severly lacking. Cornell grad school appears to be a great place to go if you know what you want to do, where you want to end up, and how to get there. Self-reliance is key, and a Cornell degree can and will open doors (it does carry the cachet of being an Ivy League university and one of the major research institutions in this country). Alot of the experience is what you make of it. The social life was decent (again, what you make of it), and there were opportunities to meet graduate students from other disciplines. Overall, I feel I gained from my education at Cornell.

Cornell is a great Ivy League University.Super BrilliantSociology
Cornell is a great Ivy League University. There is so much school spirit, so much beauty in the campus and so many brilliant people here to meet. The networking at this school is unbelievable. The Greek scene is big, but so are the bars in collegetown. School work is very challenging, but class sizes are small so you can get good attention from your profs. Cornell is the best combination of academics and social in the Ivy League, and perhaps anywhere in the world.
